Zagsblog is reporting that the Domincan Republic has reached out to Coach Calipari to gauge his interest in coaching their 2012 Olympic basketball team. Calipari's connection includes his assistant coach Orlando Antigua and player Eloy Vargas, both of whom are from the Dominican Republic. Al Horford, Charlie Villanueva, Francisco Garcia, and Trevor Ariza could soon be lacing up for Calipari. On a side note I honeymooned in Punta Cana in the Domican Republic and it has the most beaurtiful beaches I have ever seen.
I think I'd rather have him recruiting. Pitino is only doing it to get that 2012 recruit
