After Kentucky's drubbing of LSU, Calipari flew to Chicago to catch the Flyin to the Hoop event that featured Davis' Chicago Perspectives team against Meadowdale(OH). Davis had 32 points, 18 rebounds, and 7 blocked shots in the 79-69 loss. After the game Calipari pulled Davis aside to give him a few pointers on his free throw stroke. “I don’t even want to talk about it,” Davis said of his 6 of 11 from the line. “I have to work on my free throws. He told me to keep it chest high and follow through from there. I’ll work on it.” On the season Davis is averaging 33 points, 17 rebounds, and 6.5 blocks per game.
