Bad day for ranked teams
Every season there seems to be that week where a large percentage of ranked teams take a tumble. 11 ranked teams took a tumble yesterday including #5 Connecticut, #7 Villanova, #9 BYU, #10 Syracuse, #11 Texas A&M, #15 Wisconsin, #18 Minnesota, #22 Vanderbilt, #23 Florida, and #24 St. Mary's. In addition #1 Ohio State and #2 Pittsburgh survived close games on the road.
Kentucky was also one of the survivors of the day as they beat Georgia 66-60. Kentucky was led by Doron Lamb with 19 points and Darius Miller with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Deandre Liggins also stepped up with 11 points. The Cats led easily most of the game but took their foot of the gas pedal and let Georgia get back within 6 with 2 minutes left. With the way the rest of the Top 25 played out I will take this every Saturday and twice on Sundays.
Louisville might have picked up their signature win of the season beating Connecticut at Storrs in 2 overtimes.
Auburn will not go winless in the SEC this year as they beat South Carolina in Colombia by 15.
