Alabama all over
Once again the Cats found themselves in a hole in the second half, but fought back only to lose the game on the road. Chris Warren hit a 3 pointer with 2.9 seconds left to put Mississippi up 2. Doron Lamb was able to get off a shot at the buzzer but it wasn't a good look and didn't even come close. Kentucky, who was down by as many as 11 in the second half clawed back and took a 1 point lead, but it was all for naught. Once again the Wildcats have shown a trend of struggling away from Rupp Arena. Some positives include Terrence Jones who led Kentucky in scoring/rebounding with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Doron Lamb and Brandon Knight added 20 and 15 respectively. Darius Miller turned back into a pumpkin as he only had 3 points and once again made and inbounding mistake. Worse yet Miller passed on an open three near the end of the game with the shot clock running down. This led to a shot clock violation, Mississippi got the ball, and Warren hit the 3. It doesn't get any easier Saturday as the Cats travel to the swamp to play a good Florida team.
