Bracketology after Thursdays games assuming the season ended today. Teams in blue are conference automatic qualifiers based on league record with RPI used as the tie breaker. Check us out on the Bracket Project Blog and the 2011 Bracket Matrix. I have Kentucky as one of the always dangerous 5 seeds taking on the winner of the Oklahoma St./Clemson play in game. The first game could be very tough but our opponent will have already played 2 days earlier so advantage Kentucky. Next you're looking at Syracuse and Kansas as games 2 and 3 with Notre Dame on the other side of the bracket. This starts to look like the bracket from hell and really emphasizes that Kentucky must finish the SEC slate strong.
they won't put BYU in the Southwest due to the No Sunday play rule BYU has.
ReplyDeleteGood catch...gotta love the Mormons. BYU has now been moved (switched with Notre Dame) to the Southeast (Thurs/Sat) which forced UNLV to the Southwest. Keep up the good eye.
ReplyDeleteWell if we made it to the game with the Fighting Irish I wouldn't be too worried - we showcased how good a match-up we were against Notre Dame when we played last time. If you shut down Ben Hansborough, they aren't a tough out at all.
ReplyDeleteBrad-but can we get through Ok St, Syracuse and Kansas? last year it was eastern tenn, wake forest, and cornell
