Football recruiting update

Updating last weeks look at the football recruits still considering Kentucky.  Antonio Poole chose Michigan, Devin Lucien eliminated the Cats, and Trayion Durham picked Kent State.  Lamar Dawson hasn't hinted to anyone his intentions and Jon Davis is still reported to be 50/50.  Alvin Dupree now appears to be a solid verbal.  David Washington, a 3 star DT from Lovejoy, GA, has committed to the Cats.  Jaiari Dunaway is down to Tennessee or Kentucky.  Daryl Collins visited this past weekend and has said that he is having a tough decision deciding between sticking with Alabama or going with the Cats.  Collins Moore, despite being asked to grayshirt, still seems solid with Mississippi.


Lamar Dawson is a 4 star MLB at Boyle County HS.  He currently is considering Oregon, Tennessee, and Kentucky.  He visited the Cats on 12/18, has previously visited Oregon in October, and visited Tennessee last week.  This would be a huge get for the Cats and recruiting your own state is almost a necessity if you want to be a top tier team in the SEC.

Jon Davis is a 4 star TE at Eastern HS.  He had committed to Kentucky but starting looking around when the Cats got Alvin Dupree.  Davis will announce for either Kentucky, Louisville, or Illinois.

Jaiari Dunaway is a 3 star OLB at Siegel HS in Murfreesboro, TN.  He is high on Kentucky and Tennessee.

Desmond Wills is a 3 star MLB at Lincoln HS in Lincoln, AL.  He has offers from UK and Louisiana Tech, but is reportedly waiting to see if Alabama, Auburn, or Clemson will offer.  If any of those offer it is believed he will accept and Kentucky seems to be his back up plan.

Daryl Collins is a 3 star WR at Gadsden City HS in Gadsden, AL.  Collins has given a soft verbal to Alabama, but it is rumored they are asking him to gray shirt.  He visited Southern Miss (hopefully he didn't hang out with Darnell Dodson while there) this past weekend and will be visiting Kentucky this weekend.

Jerrell Moore is a 3 star WR at Fern Creek HS in Louisville.  Moore is down to Kentucky, Illinois, and UCF.

Darien Thomas is a 3 star WR at Theodore HS in Alabama.  Kentucky and Louisville have offered but Arkansas has been checking him out as of late. 

Marcoreyon Tandy is a 3 star WR at Christian County HS in Hopkinsville, KY.  He is high on the Cats and has reported that he has an offer, but he might be more of a back up plan if a few of the WR above on this list fall through.
