Thankfully UK is back at Rupp tonight, for a much needed home game as they take on the Dirty Vols. Bruce Pearl returns from an 8-game suspension that was handed down by SEC commish. Tonight's game is a must win for the Cats for several reasons.

1. Moral- UK is coming off of the first back to back loses under Calipari. UK has really played well at home this season and this is a win they really need to get their confidence back. UK is yet to lose at home under Calipari and I don't see that changing tonight.

2. Tournament Seeding- As of now there really isn't a chance of UK winning the regular season SEC east title and Calipari even said it himself that UK is playing for a tournament seed. So tonight is very important i helping UK's cause for a higher seed come March. Tennessee despite some terrible loses is still a good team. the Vols have an RPI ranking of 21 and this would be a nice win on UK's resume. every team has some bad losses this season except Ohio St. so in March it's really going to be not "who did you lose to but who did you beat?"

3. Miller, Liggins and Harrellson- theses guys really have been a disappointment this season. when UK has needed veteran leadership they have not delivered. despite being very talented players they have lacked the aggressiveness, instinct and leadership ability that every one hoped they would show. tonight's a good stepping stone for the veteran's to step up and show they can help lead this team.

So look for a big game tonight from the Cats I expect to see some hungry players looking for a win and a sweaty bruce pearl on the sideline. Go Cats!
