Player of the Game

First off HUGE win for the Cats, much needed, we all know that. And other than the Louisville game we looked as good as we have all year. But like I have been saying all season, Deandre Liggins is the dude.

I haven't been this impressed with a Cats single player performance in awhile. Yes, 19 pts, 5 rebs, and 3 asts is awesome with shooting 5-6 from the field (that 3 with only a few minutes to play was huge), but the most important things Deandre does isn't necessarily filling up the stat board.

He did have 5 steals, yes, 5. Every game I find myself in awe at some of the hussel plays Dre makes. He is always on the floor tapping balls to teammates, slapping the ball off of the opponents knee, and taking charges like Tennessee steals things. He had numerous plays tonight solidifying Deandre as a defensive stopper, a disruptor, and even a distributor on the offensive end.

He has been our only steady experience leader all year, and this game, this game I had to write about his small things he does. So here it is, the official shout out to Deandre Liggins for DOING IT ALL.

As far as kicking Tennessee out of Rupp, WE FINALLY CLOSED A GAME, loved it. Amazing game from the line, okay 3-point night, and we rebounded the ball like we were possessed. All in all this game was awesome to watch, especially being Tennessee...and did I say I hate Tennessee?

Great game, Jorts was back to being awesome, this game also showed some resilience without Knight (he sat out the last 9 min of the first half), and when Terrence isn't scoring 20 he can step up and get 12 rebounds. We need this effort every game.

GO CATS

Update: not really necessary but just saw the replays and Deandre Liggins' ONLY miss from anywhere on the floor was the 80 footer at the end of the first half. Wow.
