I'm not sure why nor have I ever been able to understand why my wife is a Bruce Pearl fan. Hailing from Owensboro, we are both familiar with Pearl going back to his days as coach of the University of Southern Indiana. Back then that was the game of the year for Kentucky Wesleyan and I hated Bruce Pearl. Fast forward a few years in Green Bay and Pearl becomes the head coach of Tennessee. I'd always known Pearl to be a character but he really has gone over the top at Tennessee, which for Tennessee has actually been a good thing. Bruce has helped revive a program better known for Phillip Fulmer and Pat Summitt. There have definitely been some rough patches along the way including his divorce from his wife and the cheating/lying scandals about recruits. And yet my wife absolutely loves the man....HOW?
Also bonus points for anyone who can identify who we dressed up as for Halloween 2 years ago.
