The world must be ending

On SportsCenter Kirk Herbstreit went into detail of how ridiculous National Signing Day and I couldn't believe it but I found myself completely agreeing with him.  He compared it to the over the top mascot head wearing picks Lee Corso does at the end of every College Gameday.  Herbstreit preached that these top recruits need to check their egos at the door when they get to college and buy into the team concept.  It's fine to celebrate a great high school career, but realize that when you step on campus you're 1 of 65 athletes fighting for a national championship...not one person fighting for a higher draft projection.  I hate covering National Signing Day but grunted through it because that's what the site called for.  People love knowing who signed with us and how we rank among other teams and how we need to fire Joker now.  I get it...expectations are high and I think Joker pulled a great class.  It reminds me of Rich Brook's early years where everyone was calling for him to be fired.  Give it time.  It may click it, it may burst into flames but I don't think anyone can argue that Joker has put together a class that can set him up to run his scheme and be successful.  Now it's just a matter of determining if his scheme will work.
