Darius Miller's Emergence Key for Kentucky
Tampa Bay Online has an article on the emergence of Darius Miller and how important he will be if Kentucky expects to go deep into the tournament.
At the beginning of the season, Kentucky coach John Calipari laid out his vision for Darius Miller, telling the junior guard he wanted him to be the best player in the Southeastern Conference.
"I don't know if he believed me," Calipari said, "but I didn't change."
At the behest of Kentucky coaches, the 6-foot-7, 228-pound Miller has taken a more aggressive approach on the offensive end. He admits to being "too laid-back" early in the season with so many talented scorers in the Wildcats lineup, but he seems to have found his way.
"I guess I just had to get a feel for it, honestly," Miller said. "It can be tough playing with a bunch of guys like that who can score and fitting in in the beginning. I'm just trying to play aggressive and play my game."
"Darius, his confidence is sky high right now. He's playing tremendous basketball," said senior forward Josh Harrellson, who called Miller his best friend on the team. "Just to see him blossom like he's done the last month and a half of the season and be the player that he is right now and the confidence that he has, it makes me happy because I knew he could do it all along."
