Kentucky Will be 2012 National Champions
Coach Calipari never ceases to thrill the faithful fans of the Blue Grass state. This year he has the Wildcats in the Final Four, poised to finish a dream season with a National Championship. However, regardless of how the season finishes for Kentucky, they will win the National Championship in 2012. Bleacher Report breaks down this team and the recruiting class coming in and declares Kentucky the early favorite for 2012 National Champions. From the article:
There are three main reasons that Kentucky will finish next season as champions. First of all, they will have Calipari back for his third season. Secondly, regardless of whether Brandon Knight and Terrance Jones return, the Cats will have a good core of returning players. Finally, they have the best recruiting class in the country, one of the finest ever.
Many have questioned Calipari’s ability to coach, simply stating that he wins because of talent. He has proved all those people wrong with this year’s Final Four run. Just in the last week he knocked off the nation’s top team, Ohio State, and the ACC regular season champion, North Carolina. Both opponents had more raw skill and experience, but Calipari out-coached the opposition. He is an extremely talented postseason coach, with his ability to create game plans to create favorable matchups against any team in the country.
In 2012 Kentucky will have the most talented team in the Country, regardless of who declares for the NBA. With the immense talent, Coach Calipari will lead the Kentucky Wildcats to a Championship. I guess the only question is, will next year be Calipari's first or second National Championship?
