St. Louis Today Praises Josh Harrellson

The St. Louis Today has an excellent write up on former St. Charles High School player Josh Harrellson.  Some Highlights from the article include:

Josh Harrellson, though there is plenty of him at 6-feet-10 and 265 pounds, might have been as improbable a hero as one could find when he made his first NCAA Tournament start for Kentucky on Thursday against Princeton.

Harrellson, a St. Charles High product, had played 12 minutes in Southeastern Conference play last season. Not averaged 12 minutes. Played 12 minutes.

Before the latter took place, Harrellson and the Wildcats had taken an offseason tour of Canada and coach John Calipari had been so disenchanted by Harrellson's play that he later told reporters, "If any of you thought after watching us in Canada that he would have an impact on this season, then you needed to be drug tested."

What he's done is he's changed all his habits, he's changed his body, he's changed his mentality, so the result has changed," said Calipari after the Princeton game.

"My confidence is sky-high right now and I know I'm ready for this game," said Harrellson. "I don't think Coach and (his assistants) ever thought I would be the player I am and play significant minutes the way I do now. But I've changed their confidence in me and I showed what I could do."
