What Ohio State Fans are Saying about the Game
The Buckeye Blog answered a set of questions on Kentucky that included the following:
How can Kentucky beat the Buckeyes on Friday night?
JW: If the Buckeyes are on and playing their best, they can’t. Shutting down the three point shooters may be your best shot. That’s what seemed to work in both Madison and Purdue. The three-point shooters won’t have the home town crowd to shake them up this time though. If they get hot, look out. Turnovers and foul trouble could also be weak points for the Buckeyes.
What is the biggest strength of this Ohio State basketball team?
JW: Balance. If you go inside to defend Sullinger, you open up the three point shooters. If you cover the outside, you open Sullinger under the net. Coach Matta is good at using his talent to adjust to what is presented and when the Buckeyes are firing on all cylinders, there isn’t much that can stop them.
Buckeye Banter breaks down the game with the following analysis:
It will be interesting to see if the Wildcats decide to double-team Jared Sullinger in the post, or if they play him straight-up. If they choose the latter, then Sullinger will go off for 30. But if they double him most of the game, expect big things from David Lighty, Jon Diebler and William Buford.
Kentucky does have some length and enough athletes to make it a game, though I like Ohio State winning with some ease.
Ohio State 78, Kentucky 69
