Apparently some group has started a Jorts website listing where you can meet up with Jorts to get autographs and it also sells gear (and signed stuff) if you cant make it out to a signing. It lists sponsors such as Jack Kain Ford, Wendys and Whitaker Bank so I guess it's real. If nothing else the locations where you can find Jorts for signings should be accurate. The site can be found here
As many of you all who have stuck with us since the end to the season have noticed, we haven't really posted anything related to the 'who stays and who goes' situation. This is not because we aren't keeping up on any breaking news as we are but it's still all just guesses at this point. One day signs seem to point to people staying, the next someone is heading to the draft. A few notes as of today though in the player watch:
- There is not much talk about Lamb potentially going. Most of the 'who stays and who goes' talk revolves around Knight with some Jones talk and a little Liggins discussion. I think many in the program feel Lamb could really benefit from another year and apparently even his own father agrees with that belief. He could still leave in the end, but I don't think anyone is truly expecting him to. I wouldn't toss your goggles out yet as we may see the sign from a UK jersey-wearing Lamb again next year.
- The Liggins talk is very weak too. There has been some made of his family situation with him having a kid mixed into the equation but his fiancee states he plans on being back.
- As for Jones, most of his talk revolves around NBA projections. He seems to be a potential first round lock but people believe another year wouldn't hurt him either.
- Knight is by far the biggest prospect to leave. His tourney play post-Princeton was really good and helped his stock some. If anyone goes, the money right now seems to be on it being Knight if people were making bets. In addressing the media today though, Calipari made mention of what could happen with Teague and Knight together for UK so I wouldn't think Cal would make a comment like that unless he thought there was a chance that duo may be together. Still hard to call at this point.
- The recruitment of Trevor Lacey. Lacey is a UK target to add onto the 2011 class and was supposed to declare by now but has postponed his decision until after the Derby Festival Classic. Many believe this is because he is waiting to see if Knight stays or goes so if Knight does indeed leave, it won't be a 100% loss.
