Liggins Decision Monday, Lacey on 18th @ 3 PM

While Liggins will have to make an official decision tomorrow about whether or not to keep his name in the draft, it appears it will be Monday before his choice is made known to us in the form of a press conference or news release. Whatever happens with Liggins, there is still one potential piece for the 2011 class with the upcoming decision of Trevor Lacey on May 18th at 3 PM.

Lacey is rated by Rivals as a 5 star prospect (6th SG, 24th national for 2011 class) and has been making the rounds to many campuses including UK, Kansas, and Alabama. It is believed some of the delay for his decision was to see if Knight was going to stay or go so the departure of Knight helps us in terms of Lacey's recruitment but with Jones coming back and especially if Liggins comes back as well there may end up being just too many good players on our team for Lacey who may feel his play time won't be enough.

He could help push this class over the edge and make it the favorite going into next season so we will just have to see whether the appeal or being on a team that might win it all is greater than the chance that his play time here may be a little less than at a school with less high caliber players. It should be noted though (on the tiny chance Lacey sees our site) that Calipari has a great record of getting players in the pros and even if Lacey might have slightly less play time with us due to all the talent, you can be sure Cal would do a great job of getting him set up for the pros.
