Alex Poythress to Kentucky?

Today on the Gary Parrish Show in Memphis, noted AAU insider Keith Easterwood responded to a comment from Parrish by simply stating that Alex Poythress is going to Kentucky.

For those not familiar, Poythress (Rivals #19, Scout #16) is a 6’8” PF out of Clarksville, TN who recently cut Duke from his potential choices — leaving UK, Florida, Vandy and Memphis. UK has been rumored to be the favorite among the four, but according to Easterwood it’s already a done deal.

Easterwood isn’t a nobody either, he has credible connections within AAU circles and has a weekly segment on GP’s radio show.

Whether or not his proclamation comes true remains to be seen, but it seems more and more likely that UK already has their 2nd commitment in the 2012′ class locked up.
