Kentucky vs Iowa St. in 2012 NCAA Tournament Third Round

Despite that many of us have nothing against WKU, today they were the enemy and UK had to send them home. WKU took the lead for an instant in the first half and made an attempt at a run late in the game. UK was too much for the hilltoppers though.

As we all saw, UK did seem to struggle at the end much like we saw when Vandy beat us in the SEC tournament. This may seem like a concern at first but according to TCPMattMay on Twitter, "several players said reason for late issues was Calipari was trying to give people more to scout". Based on this Calipari was just experimenting a little and thus there is no reason to think UK is having a late game issue right now.

UK now advances on to face Iowa St. which knocked off UConn and kept Calipari from getting a chance to get revenge for last years final four loss. Jim Calhoun and UConn themselves may have been looking ahead tonight to a chance to play UK since the UConn players were shown watching the UK game earlier. Due to this, UConn may have gotten ahead of themselves and overlooked what they had to get done tonight.

Saturday's game is set to start at 7:45 pm on CBS.
