Poll Patrol

Kentucky keeps looking better and better.  Kentucky had a spectacular Senior Night against Georgia and kept the momentum going at Florida.  Kentucky will play the winner of the LSU/Arkansas game on Friday with a possible game against Florida on Saturday.  This week Kentucky is 1st in the AP and the Coaches Poll while Florida is 22nd and 19th, respectively.  Last weeks numbers are in parentheses.

Team                    RPI             Pomeroy

Kentucky              2 (3)                1 (1)
Tennessee             75 (92)         54 (65)
Vanderbilt             26 (22)            21 (20)
Florida                  27 (19)            18 (17)
Alabama               32 (24)            29 (21)
Miss St                 62 (64)            75 (81)
Mississippi            58 (69)            84 (103)
LSU                       90 (68)           107 (87)
Arkansas               101 (84)          120 (111)
Auburn                  141 (145)        150 (163)
Georgia                 111 (108)         116 (113)
South Carolina      191 (186)        161 (160)

The big mover this week is Tennessee.  With Jarnell Stokes the Volunteers have won 8 of their last 9 en route to securing the 2 seed in the SEC Tournament.  Their RPI jumped 17 spots this week but they will still need to win a couple of games in New Orleans to feel on the safe side of the bubble.  Later this week we'll break down what they along with Mississippi St. and Mississippi need to do to have a chance on Selection Sunday.

Locks: Kentucky, Florida, Vanderbilt,  Alabama
Bubble: Mississippi St., Tennessee, Mississippi
