After a first half that went back and forth until UK finally took a 1 pt lead going into half time (that was their lowest halftime score this season), UK was finally able to shake off the upset minded tigers in the second half of today's second round SEC matchup with LSU (18-14). Kentucky will now face Florida in the semifinal round.
A few game notes:
-MKG and Jones led the way for UK today with 19 and 15 points, respectively
-Anthony Davis had an off game in the first half and sat out the last seven minutes due to foul trouble (2 fouls). He played better in the second half and finished with 12 pts and 6 blocks.
-Miller and Teague both had an off game as well with Teague only having two points but 5 assists in 34 minutes and Miller 0 points and 1 assist in 17 minutes
-Kentucky's reining Mr. Basketball Anthony Hickey playes with something to prove and led the tigers in the first half with 8 pts and 3 steals. He only got one more point in the second half though.
Tomorrow's game will be at 1 PM EST but on ABC not the SEC Sports Network. Often, UK games can be found online on ESPN3 for free for those with an eligible cable company and sometimes on justin.tv but I could not find listings for today's game on either one of these sites.
