UK vs. Vandy in 2012 SEC Tournament Championship Game

If anyone had any doubts left about Kentucky's chances in the NCAA tournament or about Anthony Davis' player of the year worthiness, today's game should have taken care of all of them. Florida played on fire making 10 threes and running fast paced for most of the game. They even led for the entire first half until Anthony Davis shot a three right before half time to put UK up 1 at the half. The second half was back and forth until UK finally went up by 9. Florida chiseled that lead down to 2 a couple times but never could reclaim the lead.

Lamb led all UK scorers today with 16, Davis, Teague, and MKG all had 15 points. Teague played like a true Calipari PG today and made some great runs to the basket as well as assists, finishing with 5 total assists. Davis only had 2 blocks today. Miller had another very off game and had 0 pts in 13 minutes. Wiltjer made a nice three in his 7 minutes today.

After the game was over, Calipari noted that he has to watch his team because he is afraid their swagger could turn into arrogance and that is something that can not happen this time of year.

Catch tomorrow's championship game at 1 EST on ABC.
