In what turned out not to be a surprise, Shabazz Muhammed picked to stay close to home and play for UCLA who many believed to be the favorite for getting him. His big reason for picking UCLA (according to him) was that he liked the challenge of having to help them improve after they have struggled the last few years.
Getting Shabazz would have been great for UK and a big weapon on offense but losing him isn't the end of the world. Now we just have to hope the Nerlens Noel rumors about Georgetown are inaccurate but we will probably have to wait until 8:45 pm to know of his fate for sure.
