Cats win big over Winthrop

Its nice watching the game from the governor's seats (Sec. 14, row B, thanks Mary Lassiter!), especially when Doron Lamb goes off for 32 points on 11 of 12 shooting including 8-9 from behind the arc. 32 points is a new freshman scoring record, beating out Jamal Mashburn's 31.

Brandon Knight also had a good game with 21 pts., although I was scared when he went down holding his knee in the first half.

Liggins is one of the best defenders I have ever seen. He has the ability to totaly shut down his man, and he looks more composed and confident on the offensive side of the ball, dishing out several nice assists.

Terrence Jones didn't have a great game but did have a dominant 2 handed slam in the second half that made Winthrop quiver.

If theres anything to complain about its our half court defense, but thats something that Calipari's teams always improve on as the season progresses. Congratulations to the team for an outstanding performance.
