Kentucky can win SEC road games
Tolly-Ho fans of the game would like the thank the CATS for learning from their loss at Tuscaloosa and putting together a solid victory on the road. With losses at Georgia and Alabama whispers had emerged that this team might not have what it takes to win in a hostile environment. Calipari had Kentucky focused from the start in this game and hopefully this win can be a huge building block toward the season.
Brandon Knight was once again the steadying force in the game as he finished with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Darius Miller though showed how good the Wildcats can be when he steps up and becomes a scoring threat. Terrence Jones, while not lighting up the stat sheet, provided the swagger against the Sandstorm with some thunderous dunks. Calipari, as promised, even found some meaningful minutes for Jarrod Polson.
With Kansas' loss to Texas at home Kentucky now has the 2nd longest home winning streak behind Duke. Duke has won 30 in a row at Cameron Indoor while Kentucky has won 28 in a row at Rupp.
Louisville also took a tumble as Providence notched their first Big East win in 7 games.
Lastly Jimmer Fredette had a huge night for BYU while also having one of the coolest names in college basketball. He had 42 points while also hitting 16 of 17 free throws. Get to know him...as his name is going to be everywhere as March draws closer...think of him as this years Adam Morrison.
