Deja Vu All Over Again
UK loses another SEC road game to (insert opposing team name here). I feel like you can use a template now to write UK road game stories because the keep ending the same way. Today UK hit the road to play Vanderbilt in Nashville and left with a 77-81 loss. UK however did play a much better game then the previous road games this season and did have the chance to win but when Vandy switched to a 2-3 zone late UK had 3 turnovers in 4 possessions. this gave Vandy a late lead that UK couldn't quite overcome. The Veteran's did show up today with Liggins scoring 10 points and Harrelson and Miller both with 7. Jones led all UK scorers with 25 points and Knight finished with 20. John Jenkins had a career high 32 points for Vandy. UK played tough throughout the game compared to past road game's but they just couldn't finish. this has been a problem throughout the season and I feel like it will remain one unless the Cat's can start making key plays down the stretch. Another negative in this game was the officiating. there was many questionable calls during the game including a Technical foul awarded to Deandre Liggins. I don't want to blame the officials for a loss but it certainly did NOT help UK's cause in this game. UK comes back to Rupp next week for two home games. I love watching UK at home but just like every other UK fan would love to see the breakthrough road win. until next time, Go Cats!
