The Good the Bad and the Ugly
The Good: Even with the loss Calipari said "the guys showed a lot of fight. There was a lot of good. I just don't like losing. It is a tough environment and a hard place to play."
Brandon Knight had his 10th 20 point game, a UK freshman record.
The schedule looks palatable for the last 6 games. 4 home games and away games at Tennessee and Arkansas.
The Bad: Once again the Cats can't win on the road in conference. The loss drops Kentucky to 5-5 in conference and coupled with Florida's win puts Kentucky 3.5 games back.
Of the upperclassmen Deandre Liggins showed heart but the refs wanted no part of it. Miller and Harrellson, while having good moments earlier in the game, were nonexistent the the final few minutes.
The Ugly: Kentucky is now 1-5 on the road in conference and 3-6 overall on the road. The selection committee has always stated that road and neutral records are important so our seeding could definitely take a hit. The only positive is that our neutral record is 3-1...bring on the Big Dance!
