I love every UK basketball player, and I do NOT compare teams from one year to another. But my friends and I were thinking the other day: would you rather have, Eric Bledsoe or Doron Lamb on LAST years' team?
Eric Bledsoe was one of the Draft Cats, drafted in the first round, he is a freak athlete and can handle the ball. He has started many games in the NBA this season with the Clippers. He was also arguably our best 3point shooter last year. He was an excellent second starting point guard for the Cats.
Doron Lamb (as of now) is statistically the best shooter from behind the arc in UK's storied history. We all know what happened last year, and we all know our team was the most athletic team in the country last year but at times we struggled to shoot. Doron is a sharp shooter and can finish at the rim.
So, just for fun, who would you have rather had on last years' team???
Hard to say. Lamb is a good and probably better shooter in the end but his defense has some room for improvement and Bledsoe is probably the better all around player. The two PG system was fun to watch too.
ReplyDeleteOverall of the two, I'd say Bledsoe contributes more all around on last years team then replacing him with Lamb. Since we didn't go all the way though, who knows. Maybe a better 3 shooter might have made a little difference. I still keep Bledsoe on last year's team though. Wish we still had him on this one too!
