Ok, the notes aren't really from Ms. Judd but she was in some movie called "Come Early Morning" which fit the post title and she's our #1 fan...
A few notes to take in after you stumble to your computer after wearing out the snooze button on the clock:
- The first issue is Vandy's loss to Florida which now eliminates two of Scott's four scenarios. Either way this game played out, we still have to beat UT to get the #2 SEC tourney spot but there is now an opportunity for UT and their dirty coach to sneak up and take that spot if they can beat us. The game later today can either make us the #2 seed and Tennessee the #5 in the east or make us the #3 seed and Tennessee the #2. The 3 spot drop for UT in the event UK wins is based on them not having the credentials to win out in a tie-breaker scenario but if they beat us, they have the second most SEC east wins and lock up the #2 seed. Hopefully we can keep the Vols and their dirty coach down the list and from stealing our seed.
- The UK women's bball team beat Vandy 69-56 yesterday and now faces Tennessee in the SEC tourney championship game (which is only the 3rd time the women have played in the championship game). This game is also today so both the men and women face UT on the same day. Seems like the men and women have either both won or both lost when the two teams were playing the same opponent school close together. Here's to hoping we make a full blue-white run over our orange neighbors to the south today.
- Finally North Carolina somehow managed to upset Duke yesterday and actually win the ACC title. I really can't pick which one I dislike the most here and would just prefer both teams were near the bottom of the ACC instead of winning it. Apparently, NC stormed the court though showing how low they have become. Elite programs like UK, Kansas, NC, Duke, etc should never storm a court in my opinion. If you're an elite school, you expect to win.
GO CATS!!!
i've never even heard of that movie
