Hustle and Bustle

Today UK headed on the road with a lot at stake and UK knocked off the Volunteer's 64-58 to lock up a first round bye in the SEC tournament and second place in the SEC east. It's been along time coming for the Cat's to finally win a road game and today's game couldn't have been more important. Overall UK couldn't have played a worse first-half but were only down seven. UK came out of half time playing a lot more aggressive and knocking down three's which continued for most of the second half. Today's game was definitely not pretty but UK FINALLY made the play's down the stretch to close out a close game. Brandon Knight led all UK scorers, as usual with 19 points and broke Rex Chapman's record of most 3-pointer's made in a season by a freshmen. Jones and Miller both contributed 15 points to UK's winning cause. Tobias Harris led all of Tennessee's player's with 18 points. With UK losing so many SEC road game's this season it was a great relief to win the last regular season game. Partly because it was against Tennessee and partly because UK was able to get the first round bye in the SEC tournament. UK will head to Atlanta this week for the SEC tournament and play the winner of South Carolina vs. Ole Miss at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Great day to be a Cat's fan and until next time, Go Cats!
