Gilchrist Loses Final HS Game
Michael Gilchrist and his #1 St. Patrick team went down in defeat to Bob Hurley's #2 St. Anthony by the score of 62-45. Gilchrist fouled out late in the 4th quarter with a line of 7 points on 2-11 shooting, 13 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Gilchrist was non-existent in the second half as St. Anthony's shut him down to come back in the 4th quarter and dominate St. Patrick 23-5 in the final frame. Western Kentucky commit Derrick Gordon led St. Patrick with 26 points. Oddly enough every time I have watched Gilchrist play this year I have been more impressed with Derrick Gordon. With the recruiting class Ken McDonald is bringing in down in Bowling Green (5 - 3 star recruits including Vinny Zollo) I'd almost be inclined to keep him around one more year and roll the dice.
UPDATE: Condolences go out to Gilchrist who found out his cousin passed away shortly after the game.
