Initial Impressions

The East is the Bracket of Death this year and Kentucky is stuck right in the middle of it.  The Southeast is a cupcake by comparison and sort of reminds me of Duke's bracket from last year.  Look at it this way...Kentucky might have to beat West Virginia, Ohio State, and North Carolina to get to the Final Four.  Florida might have to beat UCLA, BYU, and Pittsburgh.  Florida appears to be the 6th best team overall which is a joke.

As has been pointed there are always teams who are left out and teams that get in that make you scratch your head.  This year the inclusions of UAB and VCU seem to have confused everyone.  Teams just outside the bubble include Virginia Tech, Colorado, St. Mary's, Harvard, and Alabama.

My attempt at bracketology came nowhere near to being spot on...but looking through other brackets I think I did good.  Bracket Matrix scores each bracket based on correct teams and seeding so I will post when I know what the final numbers come out.

Thanks Gene Smith...how about you go fix your Ohio State football program now.
