Poll Patrol
Kentucky finally broke through on the road in a big game this week with their win at Tennessee. This coupled with the win against Vandy propelled the Cats to a 2 seed in the SEC Tournament. Kentucky has a fairly easy side of the bracket and thank god there are no more road games for the season. This week Kentucky is 15th in the AP and 16th in the Coaches Poll. Florida is 12th in both while Vandy is 27th and 24th, respectively. Last weeks numbers are in parentheses.
Team RPI Pomeroy
Florida 10 (12) 18 (33)
Kentucky 12 (15) 10 (9)
Vanderbilt 26 (23) 28 (29)
Georgia 39 (36) 56 (56)
Tennessee 36 (34) 55 (54)
South Carolina 128 (116) 125 (128)
Alabama 79 (89) 48 (39)
Miss St 112 (130) 119 (132)
Mississippi 81 (73) 73 (70)
Arkansas 120 (103) 100 (91
Auburn 254 (272) 211 (235)
LSU 219 (207) 230 (215
The most interesting team still has to be Alabama. I can't see the committee leaving out a team with 12 SEC victories, but then again they haven't beat anyone out of conference and will they get penalized for playing in the West. Winning their first game against Georgia/Auburn probably would seal the deal. Georgia is also on the bubble and must beat Auburn to feel safe as a loss against the Tigers would be disastrous. If Kentucky can win the SEC tournament you're looking at a possible 3 seed and a much more favorable matchup in the big dance.
Locks: Florida, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Tennessee
Bubble: Georgia, Alabama
