Earlier we heard news that Jones will go into this years draft but didn't know when an official announcement would come out. Well now we know and not only will Jones be announcing his future but all 5 of our main underclassmen (Teague, Davis, Jones, Kidd-Gilchrist, and Lamb) will be announcing their plans together in a joint press conference.
The important thing to note, the way I understand it, is that if anyone says they will come back tomorrow, they could still end up in this years draft. This is due to the NCAA now requiring players to announce if they will stay or go before the NBA deadline which is later. Whoever says they will declare for the draft tomorrow is definitely gone but anyone who says they will come back can then wait until the NBA deadline to declare for the draft (unless the NCAA can some how force the player to go back to school for saying they would for the NCAA deadline) if they hadn't completely made up their mind or if they wanted to test the waters. So don't get too excited if anyone says they are coming back until the NBA deadline passes.
At least one source (out of New York) reports Jones, Teague, and Davis are definitely declaring for the draft but Kidd-Gilchrist and Lamb are expected to as well.
The press conference was scheduled for 2 pm but has now been moved to 7pm EST.
